About Merge PDF
Merge two or more PDF files into a single document — for free, right in your browser. Drag PDFs in, reorder them with a click, and download the combined file. Nothing is uploaded to a server; everything happens locally on your device.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a limit on the number of PDFs?+
Practical limit is around 20 files and ~500 MB total. Larger jobs may slow down depending on your device.
Are my files uploaded?+
No — pdf-lib runs entirely in your browser. The PDFs never leave your device.
Will the merged PDF keep bookmarks and links?+
Internal links inside each PDF are preserved. Cross-PDF bookmarks are not carried over.
Can I reorder the pages?+
You can reorder full files. To shuffle individual pages, split first then merge in the desired order.
Does it work on encrypted PDFs?+
Only if the PDF is not password-protected. Decrypt it first using a desktop tool.
